Wolt Japan & Autopilot 2.0

Founded in Helsinki, Wolt is a technology company thatโ€™s driven by a mission to improve cities for customers, merchants and couriers alike.

How Wolt Japan slashed Cost-Per-Install by 37% using Autopilot 2.0

Wolt was looking to maximize app installs on Android devices among Male and Female audiences, age 18-54, located in selected cities in Japan.

They have been managing ๐• campaigns on the Wise.blue platform for quite some time. This time, along with the help of the Aleph team, they took advantage of Wise.blue’s unique Autopilot 2.0 feature to automatically allocate their media budget among multiple ad groups and let automation do the work!

What we wanted to achieve

  1. Goal

Growing a customer base was our main priority, so all marketing efforts were directed towards acquiring new users (first time users) at efficient cost levels.

How we did it?

Wolt utilized Wise.blueโ€™s unique Autopilot 2.0 feature to automatically allocate their media budget among 40+ ad groups and employed the surfing method to enhance weekly performance seasonality.

The strategy involved daily budget allocation to the best-performing ad groups to achieve maximum app installs and boosting weekly seasonality, with a focus on the better-performing days (weekends over weekdays).

With the surfing method enabled, the KPIs showed significant improvement.
