Wolt and Wise.blue+
Boosting App InstallsĀ & Improving CPFTU with Wise.blue’s managed service.
Wolt and Wise.blue’s partnership
Wolt had been managing 𝕏 (formerly Twitter) campaigns on the Wise.blue platform for some time.Ā
Along with the support of the Aleph teams, Wolt wanted to acquire new customers and boost app installs while achieving a lower CPFTU (cost per first time user) in the Baltic countries (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania).Ā Ā
The innovative approach to campaign setup and optimization of the Wise.blue’s managed services unlocked additional audience, and the team was finally able to outperform their KPI targets.
The Baltics markets struggled on User acquisition because of its relatively small audience on 𝕏*. Once all three markets were combined, performance improved, CPFTU remained on target and the flow of FTU’s increased significantly.*

What we wanted to achieve
-
Acquisition
Acquire new customers and boost app installs.
-
Cost Reduction
Decrease the Cost per First-time User (CPFTU) in the Baltic countries.
The Approach
All 3 markets were initially tested by running a campaign for each one; however, due to the smaller size of the markets and high CPFTU, Wolt struggled to achieve the required amount of installs per day.
The client also decided to test whether there was a difference between running ads using locally adapted copies/creatives and ads in English. English ads proved to perform slightly better.
Based on Wise.blue and Httpool’s recommendation, the campaigns were then paused and a new one was launched, combining all 3 markets, using English creative. The audience expanded and Wolt saw an increase in their audience and app installs per campaign.
The Results
- 7x App Installs Avg. Growth
- +88% CPFTU Improvement
- <70% Daily Install Increase
